George Orwell's "1984" - A guide To The GOP Convention

In his great novel about totalitarianism, “1984,” George Orwell described the three slogans of The Party: War Is Peace. Freedom Is Slavery. Ignorance Is Strength.

The whole GOP platform:

Miltary Aggression

Anti science/ Anti intellectual 

 Biblical/Sin based Morality

It's Time to Fire God -He hasn't Worked Out!

God Hasn't Worked Out -- It's Time To Fire Him

Yep -It's long overdue -sorry God but things haven't exactly worked out the way we planned!

The Earth is fucked up and most humans are still suffering and dying in agony and quite frankly - God - you really suck as our Deity.

This whole notion that You created Us and we should worship You and You will take care of US in an Afterlife -has gotten totally out of control!

We both know that WE created You and You were supposed to provide Us with calm and comfort and clarity. Well -what the fuck - talk about poor planning!

We will now take it from here - You will receive a handsome severence payment - even though you screwed up the works.We will give you the same consideration as any Wall Street fuck-up .That seems only fair.

So -- we must now rearrange our collective consciousness - adopt a new moral and ethical management style - update our "Play Book" (formerly called The Bible) by about two thousand years -and try to salvage the total fucking mess that our former Boss/God has gotten us in to.

I would strongly suggest letting the Jews take it from here - they seemed to be on the right track until the Romans came along.

A Papal visit would be a  perfect time for a fresh start - we can introduce him to his new Boss.
