DAVID LETTERMAN: Chris Christie, a fascinating story. He used to weigh about 600 pounds. He was    enormous. And he was on this show, and he said, "I'm the healthiest fat guy you'll ever see." And you know, who's going to argue that point?
So he had his, I think they, they either took out his stomach or they removed intestines or they stapled his stomach. I'm not sure which. And they had, he said his family insisted that he lose weight. And here's what they are worried about. This is not political. The family was worried that if Chris Christie got out of the shower and caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror he would have a heart attack. That's what they were worried about.
So Chris Christie had his stomach stapled, and now if we can get Rush Limbaugh to have his mouth stapled.
Notice how the New York audience thought this was all the funniest stuff they'd ever heard?
It seems a metaphysical certitude that if these jokes were aimed at Democrats, the reaction would have been far different.
